Seattle was awesome. When we drove into the city after alot of rain, the sun came out and we could feel its warmth for the first time in days! Shannon greeted us at her apartment and showed us around before taking off to go to work. We strolled down alot of cute streets with flowers growing everywhere and began to see so many old cars! The next day we took a bus downtown and went up in the space needle. We could see the whole city and the water, what a beautiful view, no rain! After that we went to the famous Pike's Market where we saw lots of fresh fish and strange sea creatures for sale. The fishermen were tossing the fish back and forth and singing all the while. It reminded me of the Florence central market with the vegetable, bread and meat vendors. We met Karli's friends Pete and Kira and went out for a wonderful Vietnamese dinner in the Capital Hill district followed by delicious homemade coffee ice cream. YUM
